Welcome to forJoey.org, a web site
created by the friends of Joey Barry. Joey is a seven-year-old
boy who lives with his parents and sisters in West Dundee, a
small town about 40 miles northwest of Chicago, Illinois.
As you can see, he looks like a typical
seven-year-old. He's happy, cute, and has the most beautiful
eyes. He loves the color red, riding his bike, playing in
the park, and is fearless on the monkey bars! He has a
contagious giggle and everyone who has the pleasure of
meeting Joey can't help but fall in love with him!
In April of 2005, Joey was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor within
his brainstem. The tumor is a pontine glioma. It is not
known how long he has had this and there is no cause for
these types of tumors. The prognosis for a pontine glioma
has been statistically poor, but with your help and support,
we pray that Joey will beat the odds and become a ray of
hope for all others facing this condition.
